What is the Classis Home Missions Committee? Our Vision The Classis Home Missions Committee envisions vibrant, missional faith communities following Jesus.
Our Purpose Our purpose is to mobilize and energize the gifts and resources of all members of the 15 congregations of Classis for holistic evangelism and discipleship.
Our Goals Our goal is to achieve measurable improvements in "deep-rootedness" in 8 of the 15 congregations in the next three years.
A second goal is to have 300 residents of southeast Grand Rapids come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and join our congregations in the next three years.
What are the projects or working groups of the Classis Home Missions Committee? Church Development This working group promotes holistic discipleship and the development of established and new churches through strategic planning, education, and training.
Evangelism This working group identifies and develops holistic evangelism strategies for use by the congregations of Classis.
Ministry Grants This working group advances evangelistic ministry in southeast Grand Rapids by making recommendations to Classis for the disbursement of Classis grant funds to churches and parachurch ministries. This group also maintains contact with grantees and educates Classis about these ministries.

share ideas and network with representatives of other congregations.

mission, ministry, or outreach committees or teams in your congregation.
- Communicate mission and
ministry opportunities to your congregation.
- Communicate mission and
ministry opportunities to the Classis Home Missions Committee.
